I was born and raised in England, growing up about 20 miles west of Birmingham. I attended college in the east of England at the University of East Anglia, and graduated in 1990 with a degree in Accounting, with honors. After working for the equivalent of a CPA firm in England for 3 years, I emigrated to the United States in 1993, and worked for a CPA firm in New York City for a couple of years.
I moved to Minnesota in 1995, and obtained my CPA license in 1996. Since then I have worked for a multitude of small and large companies, including both private and public, continually expanding my knowledge and exposure to a variety of industries and accounting / tax situations. I was also self employed for a period of 3 years. After leaving full-time employment I made the decision to start my own tax & accounting company, and voila, here I am today!
I operate my business out of my home in Ham Lake, which I share with my wife of ten years, Joy, and our four dogs – Millie, Simba, Nala and Carly.
In my spare time I enjoy playing pool, cooking, reading, golfing, and spending time with my family and dogs.
I continually strive to be abreast of the ever evolving tax rules and regulations, and keep up to date on industry, and economic news and events. I maintain my CPA license by attending regular Continuing Professional Education seminars throughout the year.
